To find our way in the dark, we must close our eyes to see, to touch instead of look, to feel when sight misleads.

Jenn E Norton is a video artist that makes the familiar uncanny in her work. By the insertion of disjunctive imagery that is realistically glued together with composite editing, ordinary objects and activities become strange, bending of our longstanding expectations to open new dialogues. While her cast may be her cats, inanimate objects or multiple versions of herself in situations that derive from her immediate experience, she presents small moments from her microcosm that point to lager issues.
